The Cesky Terrier (pronounced Chess-kee) is a small terrier originating in Czechoslovakia, now the Czech Republic. The breed was first created by crossing a Scottish Terrier with a Sealyham Terrier in 1949 by Frantisek Horak. Cesky puppies are born black, and lighten to shades of gray as they age. They are often accented with yellow and cream markings. Ceskies tend to be less dog-aggressive than other terriers.
