About Port City International University Page
HI As far as I know you've deleted that page. But I'd like to say it should be in Misplaced Pages. coz other's university page's are in wikipedia, so whats wrong about this page? I thought Later I'll update that page.but now I don't get it to edit to add more info so hope you'll consider to give it back

Funnel Design Group
Regarding this page. I tried to just put facts about this organization with no promotional info. I do know the user name 'funnel design group' adding a page called 'funnel design group' throws up red flags. I just want the location of this organization and who it is to be out there and factual. If you disagree, please let me know. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bchanging (talk • contribs) 15:08, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
- In order to qualify for an encyclopedia article, a company must be "notable". Please see WP:COMPANY, the relevant notability guideline. If Funnel Design Group satisfies the guideline, please write a new article by summarizing in your own words what reliable sources have written about them. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 16:43, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

The Left Hand of God (novel)
The Left Hand Of God (Novel) page you deleted, and some how redirected to some form of religious text, is infact a Sci-Fi book written by a different author, in a different year. I will leave links below to prove it, one being a wiki page that clearly defines a difference between The Left Hand Of God written by Paul Hoffman in 2010 and the other, written by Michael Lerner in 2006.
http://en.wikipedia.org/Left_Hand_of_God (this being the article that defines there is a difference)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Left-Hand-God-Paul-Hoffman/dp/0141042370 (This, clearly a non-existant novel i am definatley not reading)
and finally, http://www.harpercollins.com/books/Left-Hand-God-Michael-Lerner/?isbn=9780060873738 (clearly not the same book as the previous link)
Restore the page. 2.29.204.49 (talk) 22:33, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
- As far as I know, there has never been a Misplaced Pages article about the novel The Left Hand of God. This morning, another editor moved the page about the religious book to the title The Left Hand of God (novel) and I moved it back (because it's not the novel). I deleted the page titled "novel" so that readers would see a red link instead of a Wikilink when they see that name. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 22:39, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

RE:Theroy of Evolution
Can it be deleted on some other basis? I personally don't care as I was not involved in the creation of the page (nor have contributed to it). I just happened to notice the spelling error and thought would reported to keep the encyclopedia "clean". Since you seem to be more familiar than I regarding delete criteria, perhaps you can nominate it for deletion under the proper cause factor. Whatever... Mercy11 (talk) 03:47, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

Abigail Ratchford - deletion
Hello Malik,
I am writing to you in an attempt to get clarification on your recent deletion of my article "Abigail Ratchford" ... 04:32, 30 December 2013 Malik Shabazz (talk | contribs) deleted page Abigail Ratchford (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion (CSDH))
Abigail Ratchford ] https://en.wikipedia.org/Abigail_Ratchford
Could you tell me how I could get my article restored?
I am very willing to address all concerns of yours in this matter, and I certainly appreciate your knowledge and help/guidance through the Misplaced Pages experience. My article for Abigail is definitely a "legitimate" article for a brand new star in the modeling world who, as you could see from the content, has been extremely successful. I plan to add much more to this article, as Abigail is embarking on several noteworthy endeavors.
Also, could you provide me with the text of my article? It seems to have disappeared, and I would like to retain it in order to make any necessary amendments.
I appreciate your time Malik, as I know you are most likely extremely busy. I am anxious to hear from you soon, and hopefully fix this situation to your standards.
Thank you, and Happy New Year!!

- The best way to write a new article about Abigail Ratchford that satisfies Misplaced Pages's requirements is to summarize in your own words what reliable sources have written about her. (Please read WP:Identifying reliable sources to get a sense of what types of sources are considered reliable.) Please don't copy and paste text from Ratchford's Tumblr page. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 16:45, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you Malik. Can you restore the article, and I can edit the text appropriately? I can do this immediately. Or, could you provide me with the text from my original article, so I can amend it (it is now not visible anywhere)? I am part of Miss Ratchford's management team, and I wasn't aware that the content was also used on her Tumblr page. I can easily change the verbiage.
- Scoocher16 (talk) 17:19, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- Only the opening paragraph was similar to the Tumblr page ... common content we use for her in various outlets. the bulk of the article was unique content.
- Scoocher16 (talk) 17:22, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- I've restored it to User:Scoocher16/Abigail Ratchford. When you've finished working on it, you can move it back by following the instructions at WP:Moving a page. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 17:25, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you Malik. I am working on it now. I really appreciate that.

- Hello Malik. I just "moved" the article back to Abigail Ratchford. I edited the intro paragraph completely, and I believe that it should now comply with your standards. Can I now have the two alerts at the top of the page removed? For "This page is a new unreviewed article." and "The topic of this article may not meet Misplaced Pages's general notability guideline."?
- Thank you again for your help. i very much appreciate it.
- Scoocher16 (talk) 17:50, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- I now notice an alert ... This article may meet Misplaced Pages's criteria for speedy deletion for the following reasons: ...
- How do I get that removed? Is this something you can do?
- Scoocher16 (talk) 17:52, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- Did you read what I wrote about using reliable sources? Where are they? — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 17:55, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- I have several sources cited throughout the article ... from the websites themselves ... where the content is derived from.
- Scoocher16 (talk) 18:09, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- But they're not considered reliable sources. It's a moot point now, as another administrator has deleted the article. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 18:11, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- I don't understand ... the sources are where the information is drawn from. How could they be "unreliable"?
- Scoocher16 (talk) 18:16, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- Please read WP:Identifying reliable sources. We need secondary sources about Abigail Ratchford, not links to websites where her pictures have appeared. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 18:18, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
Rejected Speedy Deletion of Catanese Disambiguation
Malik,
I am writing you about the rejected speedy deletion of the redirect page "Catanese". I completely agree that it should be turned into a disambiguation as you noted. I am still fairly new to the wiki world, so I was not able to figure out a way to change the name of the page to "Catanese (disambiguation)". Is there a way I can do this, and also remove my request to create a new page with that name?
Thanks,
Mr. Neo Anderson (talk) 15:10, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Neo. I'm not sure the page needs "(disambiguation)" at the end of the title, but if you feel it does you can move ("rename") a page by following the instructions at WP:Moving a page. You can remove your AfC request by adding {{db-g7}} to the page. — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 16:38, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- Malik,
- I requested a move to "Catanese (disambiguation)" and put a delete request on the new page I created, as you advised. If you do not think that "(disambiguation)" is necessary in the name, feel free to remove it. Looking at your talk page, I see that being an admin is pretty hard work at times. Thanks for teaching me something new.

IAFD
Happy (almost) New Year Malik! :) With all of the conversation going on, I was checking out the IAFD article and noticed that some of the "obvious things" were missing and started a Google news and book search along with checking AVN for citable references. It's not my intention to add content just for the sale of content. I want IAFD to be treated as a WP:RS and so I'm adding information that a someone that is completely ignorant of the site might find edifying. --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 21:01, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- Happy new year to you, too! In general, IAFD isn't a reliable source (neither is IMDB), and rewriting the article isn't going to change that.
- By the way, the source you added to the first paragraph (The Complete Internet Pornography Encyclopedia) is a collection of Misplaced Pages articles. It can't be used as a source (see WP:MIRROR). — Malik Shabazz /Stalk 21:07, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- Ugh, crap. I was trying to see if that was the case, but couldn't find it. Thank you for doing so, I'll keep looking,. I found some good stuff for the media section. Plus I'm the one that wrote about the statistical study that Millard did. I don't know if IAFD will ever be beyond reproach, but it has its uses and a certain level of reliability. Again, I'm trying to educate the uninformed. --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 21:15, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- A user edited source may well itself be notable, but its coverage of a topic can't be used to establish notability of that topic. Cullen Let's discuss it 21:20, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- And you're referring to what? --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 21:25, 31 December 2013 (UTC)
- I am referring to your comment at the beginning of this thread, namely, "I want IAFD to be treated as a WP:RS". User edited websites like IMDb and Misplaced Pages itself are not considered reliable sources. The same applies to IAFD. We need coverage in reliable sources to establish notability of a topic or as references for any claims likely to be challenged in an article about a notable topic. Cullen Let's discuss it 21:34, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

Ah! I get it, its your source of information about IMDb and IAFD that is faulty or incomplete, hence your statement, "User edited websites...". First off, both IMDb (owned by Amazon) and IAFD have paid staff that fact check information before its made live in their primary databases. As for-profit companies, neither is interested in being sued for posting false information that could affect the livelihood of the people listed on it. I don't know if IAFD has been sued, but Amazon has. Hence the paid staff and fact checkers.
Now, are there areas of each site that ARE user edited such as discussion forums, yes - no question about it. But if you're going to discredit the entire site base on that, almost every online news source will have to be discredited because they contain similar "user edited areas" as well.
So explain to me again why IAFD can't be considered a reliable source, at least in part? --Scalhotrod - Just your average banjo playing, drag racing, cowboy... (talk) 23:01, 1 January 2014 (UTC)

On 1 January 2014, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article The Diary of Malcolm X, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that publication of The Diary of Malcolm X is being held up by a legal dispute between the publisher and some of Malcolm X's daughters? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/The Diary of Malcolm X. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000.
