Any of several Yan states in Chinese history named with the character "燕" including:
- Yan (state) (11th century BC - 222 BC), mahor state of the Zhou Dynasty
- Five states named Yan that during the Sixteen Kingdoms Period. All but the Northern Yan were founded by Murong-Xianbei rulers.
