Dobrolet (Template:Lang-ru) was a Russian low-cost airline based at Sheremetyevo International Airport and a subsidiary of Aeroflot. It operated scheduled flights to domestic destinations.

History

The airline was founded in the autumn of 2013 by Aeroflot, the Russian flag carrier airline based in Moscow. Dobrolet started operations in May 2014 on a Boeing 737-800NG.

The name "Dobrolet" extends all the way back to 1923 when the Dobrolet Russian Voluntary Air Fleet Joint-Stock Company was founded.

The European Union blacklisted Dobrolet on July 30, 2014 as part of a sanctions package against Russia. Dobrolet was the exclusive operator of flights between Moscow and Simferopol. As a result of the sanctions, the leasing of Boeing aircrafts used by the company was cancelled by partners, and on 4 August 2014 the company announced that it was ceasing all the operations. Nevertheless, on 6 August the company announced it has ordered sixteen new Boeing 737-800 airplanes to be produced in 2017-2018.
