Prophet's Day (Template:Lang-bn, Template:Lang-ar, Template:Lang-ur and Template:Lang-fa) is a religious holiday of Islam observed on the 29th of August. This religious holiday commemorates the prophet Mohammed’s first appearance or Mawlid al-Nabi on August 29, 570 AD.

History

Sufi Sayed Zafor Sadek, the surviving Sufi Master of the Rahe Bhander Sufi Order, initiated this event on August 29, 2013. Sadek thought that society was forming a common view of "frowning and disrespecting" the prophets. In a world that is becoming increasingly litigious, cynical, and driven by superficial pursuits like fame and celebrity, he wanted to create an event to boost global awareness of the need to love and respect Islamic "prophets" of every era.
