Hi
George, you said "Here are the sources from Google. Also, use template:cite book/doc for instructions." I have to say I don't like that template and don't use it. But anyway, I stand by the album not being the only use of the Chinese phrase or even the most notable. It requires (album) at minimum. Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 03:22, 7 September 2014 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Zhi Hu Zhe Ye (Lo Ta-yu album) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

A Boy was Born
Your comment on the article talk is too difficult for me to understand. If you show an image of a yellow flower, you can't say "red flower" in a caption. With an mage of "A Boy was Born", you can't have "A Boy Was Born" in a caption. You can omit it, but not contradict the image, I think, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:42, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

George, please do not remove the lead image again. It's a featured article, it was promoted with the current lead image, and by orphaning it you will cause it to be deleted. SlimVirgin 15:20, 20 September 2014 (UTC)

In hoc signo vinces
Actually, I'm not sure why that should be done — it's only had three reverted edits in the past month, and I don't see why we need to have any kind of protection for such a low level of problematic editing. Do you have a reason why I should change my mind? Nyttend (talk) 11:07, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- I thought that infrequently-edited pages are qualified for PC. Do frequently-edited pages also apply? --George Ho (talk) 15:08, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- I'm actually referring to infrequency of reverted edits, not infrequency of edits in general; my point was that we don't have enough disruption to warrant either PC or semiprotection, simply because the problem edits are so rare, so we can easily get rid of them. PC in particular is bad for frequently-edited pages; if I remember rightly, this is because it will produce a massive log of edits waiting for review. Nyttend (talk) 17:15, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- Recently, someone tried to add an uncited statement; it was reverted. The topic is a one-millennium-old Latin phrase, yet it is not well-known. Also, the article has been prone to additions of uncited statements, especially for the whole year. It may be left unchecked, unless someone randomly looks at it, sees something wrong with it, and fixes it. --George Ho (talk) 03:40, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
- It still doesn't seem appropriate to me, simply because of the low level of disruption. You may actually do best to request advice from administrators in general (go to WP:AN and explain the situation carefully), or to request page protection from someone else (go to WP:RFPP and request protection, giving your reasoning carefully), since I don't deal with protection as often and might be unaware of common practice in some way. No matter what you do, you need to be careful to note that I suggested that you ask elsewhere — if you mention our discussion and don't mention that I suggested going elsewhere, people may tell you to wait until I've offered an opinion, or they may think you're admin-shopping for a better answer. Nobody's going to complain about this kind of thing if you let them know that it was my idea. Nyttend (talk) 05:37, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hm, I just realised that you've been here since 2006, and I was giving you instructions like a newbie; I'm sorry for the unwarranted condescension. Nyttend (talk) 05:38, 23 September 2014 (UTC)
- No worries; well, you can add it to your watchlist, just in case. --George Ho (talk) 06:05, 23 September 2014 (UTC)

Matt Damon - GA Reassessment
Hi George,
I posted an assessment of the Matt Damon for the GA Reassessment request. Do you mind taking a look at Talk:Matt Damon and let me know what you think. I'm not sure if the intention is to get the article spiffed up - or just to know that status and potentially remove the GA pass icon.
I'm happy to help get it cleaned up if the intention is to clean it up.--CaroleHenson (talk) 16:56, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- I just posted a request banner, so I have no opinions on the article itself. However, I helped you create Talk:Matt Damon/GA1 by cutting and pasting from the talk page. --George Ho (talk) 22:58, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- Cool, thanks! I wonder what happened to the original GA1 page, hmm.
- What inspired you to post the request banner (i.e., time since reviewed, something else)?--CaroleHenson (talk) 23:13, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- I saw "2008" as the latest year of GA review. I figured that the article has had flaws for six years since. --George Ho (talk) 23:18, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- What inspired you to post the request banner (i.e., time since reviewed, something else)?--CaroleHenson (talk) 23:13, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
- Gotcha, makes sense. Thanks!--CaroleHenson (talk) 00:49, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
- By the way, you may want to read WP:GAR. Also, notify the article's major contributors. --George Ho (talk) 06:23, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hi George,
- Thanks! Adding the {{subst:GAR}} at the top of the page seems to create a duplicate banner box + the link goes to a new page, incremented to Talk:Matt Damon/GA2.
- Should I do that and then move the info from the GA1 --> GA2?
- Thanks!--CaroleHenson (talk) 15:04, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
- I'm just going to go ahead and create the GA2 page and add a redirect from GA1, so it doesn't foul up the process.--CaroleHenson (talk) 15:20, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
- I requested merging history logs of GA1 and GA2 in WP:REPAIR. Don't move any content or rename the page; you can continue reviewing and wait for someone to fix this. --George Ho (talk) 16:39, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
- I'm just going to go ahead and create the GA2 page and add a redirect from GA1, so it doesn't foul up the process.--CaroleHenson (talk) 15:20, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, cool, Thanks, obviously I was confused.--CaroleHenson (talk) 17:21, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi George, Since the Matt Damon article was my first reassessment, do you mind taking a quick peak at Talk:Matt Damon to see if I finished it correctly? I updated the article history... and supplied a conclusion at the end of the transcluded doc. Thanks so much for bearing with me through this!
Oh, by the way, I notified the major contributors - but many of them had retired / stopped working on Misplaced Pages.--CaroleHenson (talk) 20:05, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- You technically closed your reassessment correctly; I recommend not to remove transclusion of your reassessment. Reading WP:GAR again, if you aren't confident in your reassessment abilities, try "community reassessment" then. Well, you have been a major contributor recently, but I don't see it as a major issue for now. To start a "community reassessment", use {{subst:GAR}} and click "community reassessment". But I don't think a "community reassessment" is necessary for now unless delisting may be controversial. --George Ho (talk) 20:21, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- I'm not concerned about my ability to assess a GA article -- and that's really was a reassessment is, right? I think some of my edits went a bit beyond GA criteria, but I like to leave it as polished as I can. So, I don't think we need to start a community reassessment. And, I think I read GAR thoroughly enough... but there's not a lot of detail there, so that's why I thought I'd check in with you.
- Yep, it makes sense to keep the transclusion... especially since with a little time to settle, I am guessing there might be edits or questions that may arise and it's good to have the history.
- I think we're good for now. Thanks!--CaroleHenson (talk) 20:47, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
Accusations against you in Talk:Outrage (2009 film)
Moved from User talk:JehochmanSomeone is accusing you of conflicts of interests and assumes you were/are working for Charlie Crist. I strongly recommend that you reply here rather than there. I hope accusations are not exactly true. --George Ho (talk) 18:15, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- Of course such accusations are pure bullshit. Please don't pay mind to any accusations that lack evidence. Jehochman 18:30, 4 October 2014 (UTC)

Hi George. Thank you for uploading the actual poster of the film. It was a great idea. Take care. Δρ.Κ. 03:22, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 16
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Like It Like That (A Tribe Called Quest song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Western High School. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
