3RR

You have violated the 3RR restriction with your unexplained revert on List of University of Westminster alumni I suggest you undo that last edit, or I will report you. I invented "it's not you, it's me" (talk) 14:40, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

You might want to review WP:3RR. Warren (talk) 17:03, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

Warren, thanks for the link. I wasn't aware of the 3RR rule, but nevertheless, the university's web page is being damaged by these insistent edits to include reference to Emwazi. Tron reboot (talk) 17:08, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

Now that you are aware of it, you should revert you last edit on that page, and you may be able to avoid being blocked, per this report . — Preceding unsigned comment added by I invented "it's not you, it's me" (talkcontribs) 21:49, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Nick Salapatas

Hello Tron reboot,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nick Salapatas for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. TheLongTone (talk) 14:53, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

Hi, I have contested the deletion, and given my reasons for contesting it. Is there something specific I missed in terms of content that would make it clearer why the entry is notable? Thanks. Tron reboot (talk) 17:06, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

Blocked for edit warring

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  ~Amatulić (talk) 23:32, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Misplaced Pages, as you did at List of University of Westminster alumni. Your edit summary rationale was unavailing. And you defied talk page consensus. Epeefleche (talk) 23:35, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Tron reboot. We welcome your contributions to Misplaced Pages, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Misplaced Pages, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Misplaced Pages's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Misplaced Pages article or website of your organization in other articles (see Misplaced Pages:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Misplaced Pages's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Misplaced Pages's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Misplaced Pages when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. If you teach at Westminster, please note our COI rules. Thanks. Epeefleche (talk) 23:38, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Nick Salapatas.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Nick Salapatas.jpg, which you've attributed to "Sent to me personally". I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Misplaced Pages's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 03:34, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
