SummerSlam 2005 was the eighteenth annual SummerSlam professional wrestling pay-per-view event from World Wrestling Entertainment. It took place on August 21, 2005 from the MCI Center in Washington, D.C..

The official theme songs used for SummerSlam 2005 were "Get it Poppin" by Fat Joe (featuring Nelly), and "Remedy", by Seether.
