Television Broadcasts Limited
I've had to revert your edits on this article; the "obvious spelling and grammar errors" weren't, of course; they were perfectly correct British English, which you changed to U.S. English. Articles should be left in the style of English in which you find them unless their subject matter is relevant to a certain style (you can change to "programme" to "program" in an article on U.S. television) or the style is inconsistent (in which case it should be made uniform in line with the style used by the original editor). --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 14:16, 24 September 2005 (UTC)

Tutmosis, I want to lend a hand in adding to the Bay Area Hip hop scene. My personal interests are the Hyphy movement and Thizz, but there is sooooo damn much culture and what not, from the 80's with Too Short - Thizz Nation now. I figure, you being the king of the wiki Hop hop project, you might know (or have advice on) how to put together a team on getting this on there. As for as the to do list, subdivisions and what not. What would be the best way to learn about how to put something like this together? Thanks for any advice you may have. Carlos 18:41, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Dragon Ball names
There was a discussion awhile back (I think it was on one of the category pages) and it was agreed to use the original Japanese names where possible. Beowulph 21:56, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
List
Ah okay, I get what you're saying; a merged list for each category of characters. I responded on the page :) Deckiller 03:01, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Template
Hey, a lot of us have agreed to place the SWProject template on the project pages that don't have any significant problems; just thought I'd give you a heads up. Deckiller 19:59, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- Oh it's okay, most of those articles are good ones anyway. Deckiller 20:03, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, most of the articles you tagged are decent articles. Deckiller 20:07, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- Sure, sounds good. Deckiller 20:38, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, most of the articles you tagged are decent articles. Deckiller 20:07, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
JA Template
Hey, thanks for the comment. I just used the color scheme from most of the other SWU templates, but I think Wookiee is going through and making them all black and yellow. Deckiller 20:26, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- What do you think about the character section? Think we should add a few more/take away Ona Nobis and Zan Arbor? Deckiller 20:34, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- Or we could just give them a section in the minor villains lists, since I think Zan arbor also appears in a few other sources. Deckiller 20:46, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
Spelling corrections
I'm sorry to be so blunt but it seems very strange to me for somebody to revert a spelling correction to an article without checking how the word is actually spelled. I'd just like to understand what would cause you to feel it's appropriate to revert good changes without checking that the revert was actually something bad. Receive is actually spelled this way, and not 'recieve', as a quick look in any dictionary will tell you. I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just trying to understand what compels a person to do such a thing, as it seems utterly bizarre to me. -- Rediahs 07:34, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- It wasn't me, but it's okay, I'm not angry, I was just fairly confused. Peace! -- Rediahs 22:47, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Artist Response
Well I'm looking for something rather simple and square to go in{{Star Wars Portal}} and/or {{User Star Wars WikiProject}}. I can't be to complex because of the small size. It kinda of needs to be our Wikiproject's logo in a sense. Try using Image:Nuvola apps package games.png for inspiration. Jedi6 04:40, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

- I edit all around, basically. My first major task was adding lots of information to Xenosaga and Xenogears, merging all the information into lists, and so on. They still need a lot of cleanup, since I almost abandoned them for a time ^_^. Right now, I'm working on a template for King Crimson. Deckiller 00:26, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the message ^_^. Sorry I haven't been around TOO much for the last two days, I've been on a SEMI-wikibreak, meaning only 40-50 edits per day :) That'll pick up soon. Deckiller 17:13, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
Hey there
Hey, nice work with the weapons/pronoun edits so far. Did you get a chance to read what I said about the video games on the talk? I think you'd probably be interested in giving me a hand with that. Thanks ^_^ Deckiller 22:20, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

American/British Spelling
The old American vs. British style debate. Since Star Wars is an American product we would use American spelling. Also to check what links to a page just go to the first link on the left side of the page below the search bar. It says What links here or you can go to Special:Whatlinkshere/pagename. New pages
I just created the Darksaber (novel) page, and a semi-complete Children of the Jedi page. Next up: The New Rebellion. Feel free to take a look and review ^_^ Talk to ya later. Deckiller 01:57, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks! I think the Darksaber one should be a model novel page for the project; It is complete, and I was able to do it in under an hour. This format is a great way for us to pump out star wars novel pages in a short period of time ^_^ Deckiller 01:59, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- By the way, any other novel pages you want to see created? Deckiller 02:03, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

'The Price is Right' reedits
I removed the original paragraph because not only did it need to be broken down into several paragraphs, but was extraordinarily long and it seem to lack a neutral POV. It can always be reverted by the Wikieditors or the original author if something was done incorrectly -- Cincgreen
Collaboration of the Week
Arggg. Why did LucasArts have to make three things all named Clone Wars. Its so confusing. Jedi6-(need help?) 02:57, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

- Mmm, Lego Star Wars: The Video Game. The edits seems to be strange, but assume good faith and assume the editor is trying to improve the article. Try to talk with them on their talk page (and encourage them to get a Misplaced Pages account). I'm not sure if it vandalism, because I don't know anything about the subject. The article's talk page may be another good place to discuss the changes - maybe someone who knows something about the matter can comment.--Commander Keane 14:48, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

About the Hip-Hop edit...
I know almost nothing about Hip-Hop. I edited that page (I think it was 50 cent) because it had been vandalised, pure and simple. So, I must turn down your offer. Thanks, though.--digital_me(Talk)(Contribs) 01:34, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Hip Hop
Hi there, thank you for your offer regarding the Hip Hop project. Unfortunately, I'm not exactly an expert on the subject and I only edited the article to revert vandalism. Anyway, good luck with the new project! Hope I can help out some way. - Tangotango 02:16, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Sounds like a good idea. I reverted your changes to the intro because, frankly, the hip hop culture page centers on a 1980's view of hip hop that ignores the fact that the music is the most notable thing these days.--Urthogie 08:06, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

To Do list needs to be reformatted
I think each sub-section (specifically the stub list) needs to have their own section (the "==______==" header rather than the "===_____===" header). That way we can organize the stubs into seperate sub-catagories (i.e. album stubs, article stubs, etc.). What do you think?--chub 10:55, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Re: Question
Hi Tutmosis. The way most portal colours are set is through a box-header sub-page. The New Zealand Portal colours can be edited from Portal:New Zealand/box-header. Thus, for the portal you are trying to create, you need to create a box-header. There are instructions at Misplaced Pages:Portal.--cj | talk 14:05, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Collaboration
I'm eager to nominate Illmatic (which is currently being nominated for hip hop collaboration of the week) for FA-status, even though I feel that more can be done to improve it. I feel that with a collaborative effort from members of the hip hop wikiproject, we can bring up to FA status in no time. Do you think its time to close the votes for collaboration of the week, or should we leave it open for new members to weight their opinions in? --Chubdub 14:53, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
'design specific dates when next article voting will take place, unless we want it weekly.
- Considering that the amount of votes recieved are small and took place in a span of several weeks (2-3 weeks if I can recall) I don't think it should be weekly (atleast not until we gain more members). Perhaps the voting process may need to be done on a monthly basis? After all, bringing an article to FA status is quite tedious.
Within a certain amount of days the article with the most votes wins.
- see above
On further note, I think once a particular article has been selected, we should notify all the members of the collaborative effort. Thanks! --Chubdub 19:21, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
A new template should also be made to announce the current Collaboration, such as this:
Though this project is inactive, you can help with : David Halpern (canoeist) (random unreferenced BLP of the day for 22 Jan 2025 - provided by User:AnomieBOT/RandomPage via WP:RANDUNREF). |
--Chubdub 21:59, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
Looks great. Good Work! Have you made a time frame for when next article voting will take place? --Chubdub 15:25, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
Definetely! A Hip hop peer review sound great. I'm certainly willing to be an active participant in that. Go for it!
On another note, how are things with recruiting new members to the project? I'd certainly be really to help --Chubdub 15:36, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
And will this peer review be accompanied with a rating sytem? --Chubdub 15:41, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
Hopefully, once the project becomes further established, hopefully individual members will be willing to assume a more active role. And yes, there is still an immense amount of work that needs to be done (see the To-Do list) before we see significant signs of improvement to individual articles. But right now, we need to continue establishing the project. As for the rating system/peer review, I think the whole criteria system (lead, substance, pictures, references) sounds great! --Chubdub 15:54, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- Honestly, I am not experienced enough to adress such topics. However, I think the obvious choice would be to post the announcement in the project's talkpage or send it to the project's most active members and try to get feedback from them. --Chubdub 16:10, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

Hitlerian Civility
G'day there Tutmosis,
I appreciate your obvious strength of feeling here, but comparing CVU members to Hitler was way out of line. I'd appreciate it if, as a gesture of good faith, you struck out the comment. Cheers, fuddlemark (befuddle me!) 11:01, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for doing that. In response to your comments: it's not a matter of offending me (or any other person in particular); otherwise I could just say "hey, Tutmosis isn't here, I can say all the stuff that offends him now!" It's a case of being civil and not making personal attacks; comparing those who want to delete a rather malformed and silly idea (note: I'm not among the ones arguing for deletion) to Hitler is rather uncivil, and could easily be taken as a personal attack. I'm not always as civil as I should be myself, so I know how easy it is to shoot from the heart instead of the mind ... but it really makes everyone's time on Misplaced Pages a lot more pleasant if we're civil to each other. Thanks, fuddlemark (befuddle me!) 12:53, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Yeah. I think its pretty clear that Rapping will not be nominated (unfortunately). So do you think it should remain the hip hop collaboration, or is it time to pick another article? Chubdub 20:47, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
You have a impersonator!
It seems that user User:Tutmosis. mimics your user and talk pages and vandalizes articles on military ranks. It is a sockpuppet of the long-term vandal Roitr (see User:Roitr/sockpuppetry)--Nixer 09:54, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Your edits to a vandalized version
If you want to resize images and improve the table appearance, please do it with not vandalized version. The versions you've edited in Ranks of the People's Liberation Army Navy and Ranks of the People's Liberation Army Air Force were vandalized by Roitr and unfortunately we can not always manage to revert all his edits before other users modify them. His versions are wrong and completely different from the proper ones. He inserts bogus ranks in the tables as long as completely wrong correspondence of military ranks from different countries. He has IP addresses starting with 88.155, 88.152, 88.153 etc. You can see other his IPs and edit patterns in User:Roitr/sockpuppetry. Please do not support vandalism.--Nixer 18:17, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
My bad
I tried merging two afds, I re-read multiple afds guide then realised it's the wrong thing to do. I won't try it again.--Andeh 02:47, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
- Well there is a lot of dodgy edits happening all the time, I see your on guard though!--Andeh 02:56, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Enta Da Stage
I was wonderin' if you could through something on the Project: Hip Hop page about Enta Da Stage, so the hip hop heads can show some support for it's featured article nomination. --PDTantisocial 02:40, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Re:suggestion
Hey, that's exactly what I was pointing out; priority on an "out of universe" perspective with a basic "in universe" description. Actually, the entire reason I started the WikiProject was to ultimately push for this. It can easily be done for technology, creatures, and so on. Check out my sub userpages from my userpage; I'm starting the project from there. — Deckiller 01:48, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 FARC
- Hi there—Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 is currently on the Featured Article Removal list. Attempts to improve the article since its nomination for FA Review have been insufficient, by consensus.
- I note that you have contributed to the article, and I wonder whether you're able to assist at this crucial stage. It would be a pity if the article were no longer featured after all of the work that was put into having it promited. Tony 05:43, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
