Panchakarma is claimed cleansing of the body according to Ayurveda. Panchakarma is claimed to eliminate the vitiated Doshas from the body. This is a set of five (pancha = five in sanskrit) procedures. They are Vamana, Virechana, Nirooha, Nasya, and Anuvasana. Nirooha, Anuvasana and Uttaravasthi form the basic types of Vasthi. The term Panchasodhana includes Vamana, Virechana, Sirovirechana, Nirooha, and Rakthamoksha.

Pre Panchakarma procedures

Pre Panchakarma procedures are called as Poorvakarma. They are oliation and sweating.
