Removing my talk comments redux
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. · j e r s y k o talk · 18:44, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. · j e r s y k o talk · 19:05, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Blocked
You have been blocked for a month for several reasons. One is the legal threat you made - we do not appreciate those. That is handled offsite only. Misplaced Pages will not be used as a medium for legal threatening or barratry. Second, you have been extremely, extremely uncivil. You do not remove other people's comments from talk pages, and you have recently violated the WP:3RR rule, which would get you a block in its own right.
If you want to come back, discuss here. If you can calm down and be civil, it's possible and likely your block will be shortened. --Golbez 19:10, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

unblock|reason
I have always been civil. If you will take the time to observe, it was I who requested that the other editor take issues to the talk page. Instead, editor continued to commit acts of vanadalism to page. When I requested discussion on "talk" page, editor made accusations of "sock puppetry." I fail to understand why a request to take issue to a talk page merits the response I received from the other editor. I believe that civility is warranted by all parties involved, not just myself.
Respectfully--Fix Bayonets! 19:54, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Your assertion that I did not take the discussion to talk to patently false. See Talk:Sons of Confederate Veterans#NPOV problems. Of course, you were fully aware that I had taken it to talk, as you chose to continuously vandalize the page by removing my comment instead of engaging in discussion. Lying in your unblock request while also falsely accusing me of vandalism isn't going to help you get unblocked any quicker (quite the opposite). · j e r s y k o talk · 19:59, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Your mischaracterization of the events is further evidence of the uncivil manner in which you went about editing a Misplaced Pages article. When I requested that you assert your reasoning, you responded by continual "rv"s of the page, and then complained when I did same. I suggest you re-read my original request that you take your issues to the talk page. Had you engaged in doing so WITHOUT THEN IMMEDIATELY ENGAGING IN A REVERT WAR, I would not have respnded in kind.
- I responded to your request to assert my reasoning at talk. You didn't respond to me, but rather continued to remove the NPOV tag from the page. It was not "vandalism" for me to restore the tag after I explained my reasoning at talk, which is exactly what I did. And note that I placed the tag in the article only 3 times while you removed it quite a few more than that. So you're not just arguing with my actions here, but with the actions of numerous other long-time editors, as well. I have not mischaracterized anything. I am glad, however, that you are finally engaging in discussion on this matter. · j e r s y k o talk · 20:13, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
