Hi Ernst you crazy mofo who wants to take over the world. You are no longer james Janderson. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 20:33, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Certosa di Pavia

Hi James Ernst, thanks for your comment. I'm only adding articles if they don't exist yet; the Certosa di Pavia article (and many others) already existed, so I did not add the data, because that is harder than just adding a whole new page. (I have to decide what old part of the text I should keep, and what part I can replace.) But I'm keeping a list of all the existing articles, and when I have finished the whole of Italy, I will revisit the articles that I'm skipping in this first run. -- Eugène van der Pijll 21:03, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Ion Neculce

Agreed, but some assertion of notability must be made if it is to be kept, and I don't know Romanian. (|-- UlTiMuS 09:20, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks pal. I want to thank you. I'm working now to make it better.--Zhangshou 09:25, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

I didn't find anything in my Google search that indicated it passed the standards of WP:CORP. Daniel Case 14:28, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

No, that's for sporting clubs themselves, not the companies that sponsor them. Daniel Case 17:07, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
Misplaced Pages is not a business directory. Daniel Case 17:13, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
Well, there really isn't an economy section there yet; I suppose you could find a way to sneak it in though. Daniel Case 00:35, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Padua confusion

It's great that you're paying so much attention! It was a mistake in the program: it thought "PI" meant Padua, but actually it means Pisa. I've changed that, and it's working correctly now. Thanks!! Eugène van der Pijll 20:34, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Slovakia

Thanks for the kind words, I will gladly help! Right now I am including interwiki links in the articles. Don't forget to put those in. Thanks, Punkmorten 20:58, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks again... the reason why we don't need category is that e.g. Villages and municipalities in Zvolen District is a subcategory of Villages and municipalities in the Banská Bystrica Region. In other words, the article is in a way included in the Region category even if only the District category is shown. Punkmorten 16:27, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
Yes. Because the Region category is so "crowded", and the subcategories start with the letter V, they will show up only if you click "next 200". By the way, yes it's true that the municipalities are called something else in Hungarian. This makes interwiki-ing somewhat difficult, but it is nonetheless necessary. Punkmorten 16:34, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
No. The District subcategories in which they are contained are indeed listed in the Region category. We can't have a Region category comprised of all the several hundred municipalities in all the district. That simply doesn't work. Punkmorten 16:37, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Faroese ships

Many thanks for your work on the Strandfaraskip Landsins and Smyril Line pages. A small confusion seems to have arisen. The domestic ferries within the Faroe Islands are "Strandfaraskip Landsins" - their largest vessel is called the Smyril. This is separate from "Smyril Line", which operates the weekly international service from Tórshavn to Iceland, Shetland, Norway and Denmark. They only have one vessel - the Norröna. Perhaps you could rename your "Smyril Line" page as simply "Smyril" and start a new "Smyril Line (international ferry service)" site. See websites and for more info. Thanks. --Elsecar 14:39, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for making the amendment. I have now started a page at Smyril Line (international ferry service). Best wishes, --Elsecar 15:56, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Disambiguation pages

LSJ (disambiguation) and a basename LSJ redirection is the usual approach to this type of disambiguation, where one meaning is more common than the others. Compare JFK and JFK (disambiguation), or TRW and TRW (disambiguation). Also, please do not blank pages when adding the {{db-reason}}. -- JHunterJ 17:15, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Olmec

Hi, I ask an arbitration about French School. Can you give me your opinion. Thanks again. Olmeque 22:11, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Slovak villages, etc.

Great stuff, but please don't place the charts showing the entire region and the whole of Slovakia in the articles - readers can access these by clicking on the links you provide, and they don't tell us anything about the topic of the article. It would be more appropriate to put in a map showing the location fo the village or town. Best regards - Smerus 18:12, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Edit Summaries

I noticed that you don't seem to use edit summaries at all. That's your choice but are you aware by not indicating what you are doing you create extra work for people who have articles you edit on their watchlists? Thanks --Spartaz 10:32, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

List of villages and municipalities in Slovakia

Good work. I am afraid I will not have enough time to help you with the stub creation. I have created some of the articles about towns and villages in Slovakia and I will be happy to expand and create some new ones. But I doubt I will be able to help you very much. So, just few advices: All municipalities in Slovakia are legally divided into two categories: towns and villages. I wonder if it is a good idea to have two overlapping lists (see List of towns in Slovakia). Statistical data can be found here and it is a very helpful (though not very well-designed) website. I think there is no need to include the maps of the given region and district in an article about a municipality. But you can find some maps with the precise location of a municipality in the commons, in the Category:Locator maps of cities in Slovakia. Good luck and if you have any more specific question, feel free to drop me a line. Tankred 19:45, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

You can use ‎Template:Infobox Slovak town as an infobox. We usually use it in articles about municipalities in Slovakia. Coordinates may be found here and some of the location maps here. Coats of arms (few of them) are here. Have fun. Tankred 15:32, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Vale of Glamorgan stub category

Hi, I created it before but it was voted for deletion as there weren't enough articles to make it worthwhile and the stub was not appropriately named. If you think that Vale of Glamorgan will have more than 50 geographical stubs (which is the rule of thumb) then it may be worth creating again, submit your proposal to Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals otherwise just use the Wales-geo-stub. (Sloman 11:27, 2 September 2006 (UTC))

I've put forward a proposal for creating the stub on Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals/2006/September. Can you also add a few notes to help make the case for creating the stub, i.e. saying that you intend to create many more and that it will be well over 50 articles. (Sloman 11:36, 2 September 2006 (UTC))

Ingrid Lehmann and Hermann Schulz

Ingrids article is expanded and Hermanns established. Please check the English. To transfer this scientific stuff into English is difficult. I am very curious, why you are so interested in them...? There i also an article about Ingrids husband in the german Misplaced Pages. Uwe Langer 20:31, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
