Nitin Khanna is an Indian-born entrepreneur settled in Portland, Oregon. He is the chairman of MergerTech, an international Mergers and acquisitions Advisory firm that helps technology entrepreneurs maximize their outcome by finding the ideal financial or strategic acquirer for them. Prior to this, Khanna co-founded Saber Corp. in 1998, which he later sold to EDS. Khanna took the leadership of its government business operations till EDS' acquisition by HP in 2009.

Early life and Education

He completed his early education at The Lawrence School, Sanawar and later obtained his Bachelor's and Master's in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, Portland.

Nitin Khanna is the CEO of MergerTech since its inception in 2009. At MergerTech, he incorporates his deep domain expertise and buyer relationships, incredibly experienced bankers, and global platform to enable clients to convert their work into wealth through M&A exits to both strategic and financial buyers.

Prior to this, Khanna co-founded a tech organization named Saber Corp, which grew to become the largest standalone provider of state government solutions in US in 1998. He helped it grow to 1200 employees and over $120MM in revenue by 2007, when he sold it to EDS for $460MM. Khanna then took over the leadership of EDS' government business operation. A year later, when he departed from EDS (after HP's acquisition of EDS), the company stood at $300MM in revenue and 1500 employees.

On his tenure with Saber, Khanna managed 8 mergers and acquisition transactions, and gained an experience that helped him start MergerTech. Prior to Saber, Khanna worked with Oracle Corporation and held a number of senior positions.

Lately, Khanna had ventured into the rapidly legalizing, $100BB recreational and medical cannabis industry in the US. Khanna started Cura Cannabis Solutions in 2015 and has already grown it to be counted among the largest cannabis oil providers in Portland, Oregon. Apart from these, Khanna also sits on the boards of Vendscreen, Freewire Broadband, TiE Oregon (non-profit) and the Classic Wines Auction (non-profit), and advises over half a dozen companies in the mobile, social, and cloud spaces as well.
