==Your list of accomplishments==

You seem to be quite proud of ], otherwise you wouldn't have it on your front page, in bright red, even. That suggests to me the kind of attitude equivalent to "The South will rise again, bah God!" and you will restore that article to its proper place in Misplaced Pages. You accusing me of trolling is like me accusing you of overly wishful thinking. I'm quite amused by your "ownership" of the ]. How old are you, 17, 18, 19? You'll get over such silly stuff later in life. Meanwhile, it's rather cute. Keep on truckin', little dude! ] 06:44, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

WP:USAF

Thanks for starting it up. Time to start revitalizing it! SWATJester Aim Fire! 00:28, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Actually, I discussed it with Statjester and Looper, who apparently had no objections ;-)

But fair enough; are there any particular objections you have to merging the project? —Kirill Lokshin 14:07, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject United States Armed Forces

Since there don't seem to be any more outstanding objections, I've gone ahead and merged it into the task force. If you have any problems with this course of action, please don't hesitate to let me know. —Kirill Lokshin 18:16, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

Your comments

Please stop posting comments on my talk page. You've made yourself clear. If you disagree with an edit I've made, just revert it. If you feel the need to sound off, do it on another page. I'm not interested in what you have to say, so keep it to yourself. Further communication will be considered harrassment. Brian G. Crawford 19:14, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Brian G Crawford

To be fair, Crawford wasn't the one who said "harassment", but he did use the inflammatory phrase "cease and desist". Although he wishes to dictate how his talk page is used, you're still within your rights to use it to formally notify and warn him of any behaviour against Misplaced Pages policy (including this case), as well as other limited uses. On the other hand, re-inserting the Tony Danza section, which is completely unsourced (and even more cruty than the rest of the article), is clearly tendentious. Just zis Guy you know? 21:06, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Fair use images

I notice that you have a number of fair use images on User:Linnwood/gallery. However, please note that fair use of copyrighted images can only be claimed within mainspace articles - please could you therefore remove these images? Many thanks, CLW 12:37, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for that, CLW 08:28, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Copyright problems with Image:Trumptowerheight.gif

An image that you uploaded, Image:Trumptowerheight.gif, has been listed at Misplaced Pages:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Misplaced Pages (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Hi, Unfortunately I have had to mark the image "Trumptowerheight.gif" as a possible Copyright Violation. Since the image has a significant amount of original work (appears to have been hand drawn by the Chicago Tribune, etc.), I do not believe that this qualifies as Fair Use on Misplaced Pages. Other sources, such as Encyclopedia Britannica, would not be able to use this Chicago Tribune image. Respectfully; hadley 22:28, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

Please discuss your reversion

Hello. I'd be interested in your reasons for your recent reversion of Template:MLB. I've started a thread here with the reasons I am in favor of the version you reverted. Thanks. 66.167.139.143 08:24, 4 May 2006 (UTC).

Protection of User RC template

I noticed that you had edited the "user rc" template. FYI, the self-categorization feature has once again been stript away, and now the page is "protected" so that ordinary users cannot revert the changes.

The absurd thing is that one can easily get a list of users who employ the template by going to Template:User rc and simply clicking on "What links here." If one were so inclined, one could use that list to inform everyone using the template of the change, and remind each user that he can manually add ] to the bottom of his user page. — Eoghanacht 01:56, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Adrienne Barbeau.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Adrienne Barbeau.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Misplaced Pages (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 14:30, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

George Felix Allen

I'm not sure what you thought you were doing, but that was not the way to do a page move. First off, there was a discussion going on as to the appropriate name with one option under consideration being renaming George Felix Allen to George Allen (U.S. Politician). Second, you don't move a page by copying some (or all) content to a new page and then putting the old one up as a speedy. This breaks the edit history and is considered a violation of the GFDL licensing for Misplaced Pages content. As to what you've done to the rest of the Allen related pages, people are going to have to look through everything now. Please, don't be bold when doing a change on a major figure such as this. Check and participate in discussions before acting in such a way. Thank you. --StuffOfInterest 21:44, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

George Felix Allen

Why do you keep removing the category without discussion. He is a Jewish-American Politician. By his own statement he is proud of his Jewish heritage. So why do you say that he is not Jewish? Jasper23 06:23, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Beachwood reporter favicon.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Beachwood reporter favicon.png. Misplaced Pages gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Misplaced Pages, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. 10:04, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
