ShortcutDraft articles are considered "abandoned" if they are left alone for 6 months without any edits. These abandoned draft articles are deleted because the Draft namespace is not for the indefinite hosting of material that is not being worked on. This criteria also applied to AFC submissions in Userspace. The code used for these deletions is CSD G13.
If your draft article has been deleted for this reason, and you wish to retrieve it because you intend to continue working on it:
- Visit the page where your submission previously existed. (It should contain a red box stating "A page with this title has previously been deleted", followed by the reason for deletion.) You can also usually find the title in deletion notifications on your talk page.
- Highlight the exact title of your submission (something like "Draft:Chicken Delight") and copy it.
- Click this link and paste the page title into the indicated space on the top line.
- Click "Save page".
An administrator will review your request and undelete the draft if there are no problems.
Thanks for your submission to Misplaced Pages, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
