Her start on YouTube begins in the year of 2010, and since then her videos have climbed... and climbed to the top of the YouTube Charts in accumulating over ten million YouTube subscribers, and over one billion in total unique views. In the year of 2016, she was ranked third on the Forbes list of the world's highest paid in royalties among her colleagues in earning a reported 2.5 Million USD for that respective year. Singh has been previously featured in the annual YouTube Rewind every year since 2014. She also released her first feature film, titled A Trip to Unicorn Island. As of recent In March 2017, she released her first book entitled How to be a Bawse: A Guide to Conquering Life.

Early Life

Singh was born and raised in a typically immigrant family found in Scarborough, Toronto. In the year of 2010, she graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, and she also developed a strong connection with her Punjabi heritage during family visits to India. In terms of her publicly revealed depression, she originally started making YouTube videos as a way to cope through comedy.

Career

As a YouTube Personalty

In October 2010, Singh started a YouTube channel under the pseudonym "IISuperWomanII" where she soon explained that the name was inspired by a childhood idea that she had where an invisible "S" was on her chest in making her believe she can do anything. It was a sort of feminist empowerment for her. All the same, she often portrays Indian-Punjabi culture in her videos which are mostly from perceived, or actual, experiences from her immigrant parents; as well as satirical takes on her experiences growing up in Canada. This is best demonstrated by one of her most popular videos on YouTube titled How Girls Get Ready among others with her parents present in some reacting to her comedic style. She also frequently collaborates with popular Hollywood actors, and actresses in her videos including, but not limited to: Dwayne Johnson, Selena Gomez, Seth Rogen, and James Franco. Singh also includes an "Lilly Live" segment (previously Ask Superwoman Live) on her primary channel. During this live segment, she has her fans ask her questions through social media platforms, and would have guests to interview. With the success of this segment, she soon launched a talk-show series titled #GirlLove in which she interviews esteemed members of the entertainment community on liberal-progressive feminist topics that girls from the ages of sixteen to twenty-four can relate to.
