John Mayer, the 25 year old singer/songwriter, was born on October 16 and grew up in Connecticut. John moved to Atlanta in 1998, after leaving Boston's Berklee College of Music. A year later he released his first album called "Inside Wants Out." His music has been compared to everything from Sting to the Dave Matthews Band. Mayer is known for his honest lyrics and unique style of music. His music has been categorized as Pop, Rock, and even Folk. John Mayer won a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Performance.
