Raúl Esparza (born 1970) is an American stage actor. He grew up in Miami, Florida. He is best known for creating the role of Jon in the 2001 Off-Broadway production of Tick, Tick...BOOM!, by the late Jonathan Larson of Rent fame. He received a Tony award nomination and a Drama Desk award for his role in Taboo. He also created the role of "Caractacus Potts" in 2005's Broadway debut of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

He was the subject of a profile article in the New York Times in 2006, shortly before the opening of the 2006 revival of Company, in which he revealed his bisexuality
