Misplaced Pages editor
This is a Wikipedia user page. This is not an encyclopedia article or the talk page for an encyclopedia article. If you find this page on any site other than Wikipedia, you are viewing a mirror site. Be aware that the page may be outdated and that the user whom this page is about may have no personal affiliation with any site other than Wikipedia. I joined a few years ago and primarily edit articles related to motorsports and American football, but I've also dipped my toes into other areas like schools, geography and New Pages Patrol. I created an account because of cleanup issues with Jayski's Silly Season Site and the long wait for a page on NASCAR driver Austin Theriault, hoping I could fix other issues like it. You can find my page creations here, my contributions here, and you can leave a message on my talk page here.
History
I joined Misplaced Pages on 15 January 2016 to edit the aforementioned Jayski page. After that, I started updating NFL players pages for free agency. Thanks to RFD, Yankees10, Royalbroil, ZappaOMatic and Bcschneider53 for helping show me the ropes. To borrow a term from Leggomygreggo8, I like to think of myself as a one-man WikiProject, editing whatever I feel like needs improvement. Over time, I've dabbled in a number of areas, but motorsports tends to be my calling card. I've also worked in education (primarily high schools), American football, and anything Wisconsin-related. I used to deal in ultimate but came away very nonplussed by the ultimate community as a whole and have since divested my interest in all ultimate, on-wiki and off.
Interests
I am a huge NASCAR fan first and foremost, but I also follow my hometown Green Bay Packers as well. I take great pride in being a resident of the great state of Wisconsin. I also follow my favorite NASCAR driver, Kevin Harvick. I am active on PlayStation, and enjoy Magic: The Gathering. Another one of my hobbies is sport card collecting, and I have over 3,000 football cards. As for personal participation, I have run cross country and track and sang for one of Wisconsin's premiere show choirs.

Fun Stuff
I'm related maternally to Curly Lambeau (first cousin thrice removed). Unfortunately, none of his playing genes transferred down the line. As for coaching ability, that's more subjective but I think I'm okay.
My interactions on Wikimedia have made for some quite interesting encounters with subjects of pages and their relatives.
If you've made it this far, you've probably noticed that I'm not a huge fan of sentence case.
As you can see, I like userboxes.
Although I live in America, sometimes I want to explore my Belgian/Flemish heritage more by moving there.
I've never made an edit as an IP address. Dove right in with the account.
My global edit count is a bit higher than my English edit count, I’ve helped out in various smaller capacities in Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Simple English, Spanish, French, Italian and maybe a couple other Wikis.
Philosophies
Policy over feelings.
Why do in two edits what could be accomplished in one?
Yes, IPs are human, so yes, you should treat them with decency. Yes, they also can be not knowledgeable, so sometimes you can reprimand them. Yes, they are also sometimes blatant vandals, so sometimes you can block them and not feel guilty.
Some editors believe some areas of the encyclopedia are "more important" than others. My viewpoint is that if the notability guidelines call for it, it isn't less important than anything else.
Edit counts, while useful as an overall indicator, can be misleading both in the case of many superfluous edits or in the case of a few large edits.
If you don't know what you're doing, don't make controversial changes.
Empty userpages are nice at first glance, but edit histories reveal all.
If I place a page improvement tag on a page you created, don't take it personally. I am just trying to improve the encyclopedia by letting you and other editors know that the page requires some attention.
If I were to create a page of a racing driver, it would include a considerable amount of prose, not just an infobox and a results table. In fact, I would prioritize getting the prose in over the infobox and the table.
Maybe there is relevancy behind actions that may seem detrimental to the encyclopedia at first glance. If you're suspicious of something, don't just take it at surface level - do some research and gain context before making a decision.
As for my participation at Articles for Deletion - there's a lot of stuff on Misplaced Pages that shouldn't, but occasionally there's something at AfD that shouldn't be there either.
On principle, admins are to be feared unless they prove you wrong through direct personal experience.
All of the above are like the English language - rules with exceptions.
Recognition
You deserve it for creating the Flex Tape article.
