Fisting is usually defined by dictionaries as the act of clenching of the hand into a fist, or of grasping or striking with the fist. However, these usages are not common in practice, due to their possible confusion with a sexual behaviour which also involves the fist, and which this article will discuss. In this sense, fisting involves inserting a hand into a vagina (vaginal fisting) or anus (anal fisting or handballing).
