I seem to think we've discussed this before, but I don't get your insistence on replacing |nationalteam-update= with the long deprecated |ntupdate=. If you feel the latter is better, why not raise it at an appropriate venue and seek consensus for change, rather than go against what is laid out in the template documentation and has been the established format for over a decade?
