  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Alexandre Reis (September 23)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by Bonadea were: This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Misplaced Pages article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Misplaced Pages. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Misplaced Pages's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Misplaced Pages, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Ways to improve Ryu, the Runner

Hello, Joaquim Nero,

Thank you for creating Ryu, the Runner.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

I noticed you created one article in the draft space here and one here in the mainspace. Both of these articles have the same issues right now. You need to establish that the subject is notable enough to have an article. Right now, it doesn't look like you have established notability in either article yet. Also, you have to write the articles with a neutral point of view and not promotional. If you have any questions, let me know.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Cyberdog958}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Information icon Hello, I'm JSFarman. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to 30PRAUM have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Misplaced Pages as a "soapbox" are against Misplaced Pages policy and not permitted; Misplaced Pages articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Misplaced Pages. Thank you. JSFarman (talk) 07:05, 29 September 2024 (UTC)

Mandatory paid editing disclosure

Information icon

Hello Joaquim Nero. Your edits to 30PRAUM and Ryu, the Runner give the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Misplaced Pages's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Misplaced Pages must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Misplaced Pages. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Misplaced Pages is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Joaquim Nero. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Joaquim Nero|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. ~Anachronist (talk) 03:21, 30 September 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ryu, the Runner

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ~Anachronist (talk) 03:27, 30 September 2024 (UTC)

Advert and COI warnings - final warning

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Misplaced Pages, you may be blocked from editing.

You appear to have a close connection to a subject about which you have written on Misplaced Pages that raises concerns about a conflict of interest. In keeping with Misplaced Pages's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged.

Anyone with a conflict of interest must avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your family or colleagues, your organization or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
  3. linking to the Misplaced Pages article or website of your organization in other articles (see Misplaced Pages:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

Note that you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Misplaced Pages:Paid-contribution disclosure. Even if you are not being paid, you are expected to disclose any close connection with the subject of the article, using the connected contributor template.

For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Misplaced Pages:Conflict of Interest. Thank you.

Deebs Magazine moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Deebs Magazine. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and none of the sources cited mentions an Angolan magazine called Deebs.. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Wikishovel (talk) 08:06, 8 December 2024 (UTC)
