The Train covers around 447 km (277 miles) and this journey around 8 hours 32 minutes.
The Lodaya train are origin from Fajar Pajajaran train and Senja Mataram since 1992 that serving Bandung (BD) - Yogyakarta (YK) around 477 km (296 miles) and journey hour in 8 hours 15 minutes. Meanwhile, Senja Mataram from Yogyakarta that depart on night time. On September 1 1992, these train became longer to Solo Balapan (SLO) by PT Kereta Api Indonesia.
On May 12 2000, finally Fajar Pajajaran train and Senja Mataram (Bandung - Solo Balapan) changed to the Lodaya train is based from white tiger called as "Harimau Maung" or Maung Tiger.
In 2003, PT Kereta Api Indonesia launching the Lodaya train (II). Now Lodaya train route from Bandung (BD) - Solo Balapan (SLO) only morning and night on the trip this train.
