"Strangers in the Night" is a song made famous by Frank Sinatra, who recorded it in 1966. It reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The English lyrics were written by Charles Singleton and Eddie Snyder.
As for the music, there are two origins:
- Ivo Robić - wrote it down for the music festival in Split, Yugoslavia. Robić later sang it also in German - "Fremde in der Nacht" - and Croatian - "Stranci u Noći".
- Bert Kaempfert, who made a thorough adaptation and an arrangement of the piece.
