A 1990s kid or alternatively a 90s kid is a term used to describe a member of a generation of children who grew up during the 1990s. Whilst there is no official definition, some have suggested that to be a 90s kid you had to be born between 1982 and 1992, and it is generally agreed that to be a 90s kid you must have been born before 1995, and have remembered part of the decade. They are often confused with 80s kids, who were born in the 1970s or 1980s but were, during the earlier part of the 90s, young enough to be called a kid.

The term is popular with fans of 90s tv shows, especially those produced by Nickelodeon, and many 90s kids believe shows these days are worse compared with those they grew up watching, often citing there is more than pure nostalgia in this belief. As well as culture 90s kids often remark on how they are the last true generation of kids who had 'real' childhoods, i.e playing outdoors rather than on a game console.
