Azerbaijani Special Forces or Tigers (Template:Lang-az) is the special operations unit of the Azerbaijani Army. In 2001, Azerbaijan created the special forces unit which was established with cooperation with Turkish Navy. The training and organisation structure of the Tigers is similar to Turkish special forces, Su Altı Taarruz and American Special Forces who have close training relationships with them. The first Tiger units were in Ganja following a joint training program with Turkey.
