(Kapu = Protector)

It is a caste found in the Indian State of Andhra Pradesh. They are also called

Balijas, Telagas or Naidus. They make up about 25% of the population of Andhra

Pradesh and are involved in various professions.

They are predominantly a kings community after which settled as land lords,presently setteled as

farmers ,business people and also in many professions.kapu's are the earliest inhabitants of

South India who had migrated from Kampilya (near Ayodhya),so called Kapu. kapu's come under kshytria community.The list of kapu kings and dynasties include [[Vijayanagara

Empire]],Chola Empire,chalukya empire,kakatiya king(only Munusuri kapayya nayudu), Tanjore kings(nagama nayakulu,vishwanadha nayakulu etc)...All these informatiom has been gathered
