How's it going? I'm a full-time software engineer and part-time Misplaced Pages contributor. My first experience with Misplaced Pages came with the realization that the encyclopedia was editable, something of which in 2004 I had predicted nothing good could come, due to the Internet and its legions of vandals. However the triumph of the commons became evident to me over time, not to mention Misplaced Pages's crazy amount of usefulness, as there was now an anchor point for most of the questions I had wondered since the 80's without a good way to determine the answers (what were those druids in Monty Python actually saying? Does water really spin counterclockwise in the toilet in the Northern Hemisphere? Did Marie Antoinette really say "let them eat cake?"), and my obsession over correcting grammar and conventions overwhelmed my better judgment as I proceeded to correct many articles on the site ever since.

I've never really learned how to make a cool user page, but I'm decent at grammar and have been an active user for long enough that I know the ropes. I like being helpful and contributing to Misplaced Pages.  :)

I'm sorry if the wraparound above made your eyes bleed. I plan to fix that as soon as I have the time to learn how to do so.
