ATI or ATi?
When you read the articles here on Misplaced Pages about ATI Technologies, AMD and their products you will notice that there are two common spellings of "ATI". There is "ATI" with an uppercase "I" and "ATi" with a lowercase "i". But which one is correct?
In 2006 ATI Technologies was aquired by AMD. There are official EDGAR records of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission which document this aquisition. The records can be found here:
- https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1065331/000104746906011839/a2173196zex-99_3.htm
In these records the company is spelled "ATI Technologies" with an uppercase "I" in ATI. Furthermore I found multiple articles about ATI, where the company is also spelled "ATI Technologies":
- https://www.macworld.com/article/1058334/amd.html
- https://www.anandtech.com/show/2055
Therefore we can conclude that the correct name of the company is "ATI Technologies" and not "ATi Technologies".
