The article Voodoo Allstars has been speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This happened because the article seems to be about a person or group of persons but it does not indicate how or why that person or group is notable. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. You might also want to read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. Pirates of war

This article has been nominated for deletion because the article seems to be about a band which is not notable according to Misplaced Pages's notability policy. Feel free to defend it's notability at the associated Afd page. Thank you. Ardent 23:16, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Hello again. I'm sorry you feel that your contribution is being maliciously deleted. Misplaced Pages values all contributions that help lead to making our encyclopedia as complete as possible, however the topics included must be encyclopedic. This is why we have guidelines like Misplaced Pages:Notability and Misplaced Pages:Verifiability, to help us not include things that do not belong in an encyclopedia. Unfortunately, the 'little guy' often doesn't meet these standards of inclusion. Feel free to talk to me further about this at my talk page if you need more information or if you disagree. And please note that you can sign your comments with a datestamp by typing four tildes after your comments like so ~~~~. Keep up the excellent editing! Ardent 23:52, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

The policy of[REDACTED] is to be as verifiable, notable and far-reaching as possible. Unfortunately, the article Pirates of war isn't verifiable, and by nature of not being verifiable, also isn't notable. Misplaced Pages is indeed about gathering as many facts as possible in a superb manner, but giving equal print to someone like George Duke and a band I put together to play at local clubs doesn't make sense. If you could look over What Misplaced Pages is not, perhaps you will understand more what I am talking about. Ardent 00:50, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Come to think of it, you haven't been welcomed yet =)
