25/8 is an upcoming 2009 horror/thriller film, directed and written by Wes Craven. This is the first film since 1994’s New Nightmare that he will write and direct. It tells the story of dead serial murderer who returns from the grave to kill the seven children who were born on the day he was killed fifteen years ago.
Plot
In the small town of Riverdale there is a legend that tells of a notorious serial slayer will return to finish off the seven children who were born on the night he ostensibly died fifteen years previous. But is the killer truly dead, or is he still at large? Or has the inexplicable evil personality that once impelled his bloody spree entered the body of an innocent teenager, who will now be obliged to do his evil bidding?
Production
Craven is scheduled to start production on 25/8 in April, 2008. Craven pitched his idea for the project to Rogue executive Andrew Rona. Craven’s production company is also working on several other horror films for Rogue. One of those films will be a remake of Craven's 1972 directorial debut, The Last House on the Left. Production on the Last House remake is slated to begin in South Africa in April.
