The Berber Marinid dynasty (Banu Marin) conquered Morocco from the Almohads in 1169. They also assumed Almohad interests in Al Andalus (Muslim Spain). The last Marinid fortress in Spain fell to Castile in 1344, and they were in turn replaced by the Hafsid Dynasty.
