Viacom
Viacom owns Nickelodeon, it is not Nickelodeon and doesn't get production credit. Geraldo Perez (talk) 19:16, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
i know but all Viacom shows have to be in the Television series by Viacom Media Networks category
- The way the category system works on wiki is that adding Viacom is redundant as there are already categories listing the subsidiary companies that are subcategories of Viacom. Anything listed in one of those subcategories is already rolled up a part of Viacom. Any time nickelodeon is listed in a category list viacom is automatically referred to as nickelodeon is a sub category of Viacom. Geraldo Perez (talk) 19:31, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- For more on this see page WP:Categorization and particularly section there WP:SUPERCAT. Geraldo Perez (talk) 19:38, 9 November 2014 (UTC)
- To see how this works in action look at Category:Viacom, the top level of the tree. Click on the expand arrows to see all that is rolled up to Viacom. Geraldo Perez (talk) 20:18, 9 November 2014 (UTC)

Recent edit to NBCUniversal
Hello, and thank you for your recent contribution. I appreciate the effort you made for our project, but unfortunately I had to undo your edit because I believe the article was better before you made that change. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions. Thank you! Epicgenius (talk) 16:34, 12 November 2014 (UTC)

Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. You have been given links that explains the concepts of supercategories and why we don't add them to articles but you persist in adding them. Geraldo Perez (talk) 19:39, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- What needs to be done is add the category Category:Television series by Viacom Media Networks to its component subsidiary and brands categories, if any are missing from the category. See the section there labeled "Subcategories" for how this is done. Not to the individual TV series related to those subsidiaries and brands. That will accomplish the same end and also is the proper way to do this for a category hierarchy. Geraldo Perez (talk) 20:25, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- But all Viacom shows must say thare
- They will be as that is the way a category hierarchy works. Just add the category to the subcategories and everything works correctly. You don't put a high level supercategory like this on the individual articles that already have one of its subcategories listed. Geraldo Perez (talk) 22:01, 12 November 2014 (UTC)

Block evasion
Your block means you're not allowed to edit Misplaced Pages. The block applies to the person, not just to a particular account. Plus, you're still editing disruptively and ignoring advice. I've blocked this IP. If you want to edit again, you need to log into your account and apply for unblock. There are instructions for how to do that on your account's talkpage.
