There is no need of historical demonyms because the articles are about the current countries, and not about the historical. Sashko1999 (talk) 17:37, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
@Sashko1999: I agree since not all of Iran is Persian and it's not only Iran who speak Persian or were Persians regardless of that the original homeland of Persians was part of the current Iran. The article isn't about the historical Iran. We don't for example use the demonyms Assyrian for current Syria just because that would be misleading. I dont know why your edit got reverted and why who reverted your edit didnt argue with you or gave a valid argument in the edit summary. I personally don't think that "says who?" Is an appropriate response or explanation of why was your edit reverted--SharabSalam (talk) 18:14, 1 February 2019 (UTC)
