Reverted pagemove
Hello Geminiblankbear. I'm not sure why you moved your userpage into project space, but I've reverted that move and returned it to User:Geminiblankbear. The project namespace is for pages about wikipedia, not pages about individual[REDACTED] users, those belong at User:YourName (User:Geminiblankbear). ST47 (talk) 01:09, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
- Hello again. I have moved it back again. Please be advised that writing about yourself on Misplaced Pages is strongly discouraged, per the information below in my notice. You have a Conflict of Interest that prevents you from writing about yourself in an unbiased way. You should review WP:COI and WP:AFC for more information about conflicts of interest and how to create articles. ST47 (talk) 01:19, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
But the page is not about me, it's about a musicians page and information. Geminiblankbear (talk) 01:22, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
Yes it's not about my personal life, but its about my career as a rapper. Geminiblankbear (talk) 02:18, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
About Misplaced Pages:Blank Bear
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. It appears that you tried to give Misplaced Pages:Blank Bear a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Misplaced Pages has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Misplaced Pages:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Managing a conflict of interest
Hello, Geminiblankbear. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Misplaced Pages, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Misplaced Pages:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Misplaced Pages's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Misplaced Pages:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ST47 (talk) 01:15, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of User:Geminiblankbear
Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. A tag has been placed on User:Geminiblankbear requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. --Minorax 08:28, 8 October 2022 (UTC)
