Your account has been blocked from editing Misplaced Pages because your username does not comply with Misplaced Pages's username policy. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Misplaced Pages's username policy, which is summarized here. Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change to this account.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page (this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Important items to note:

  • The new username that you choose must comply with Misplaced Pages's username policy.
  • The new username you choose cannot already be taken and used by another account. You can search here to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns, "There is no global account for ", that means it is available.

Appeals: If your username is not in violation of Misplaced Pages's username policy, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page (this page): {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Thank you. Template documentation
This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Uw-ublock}}). Any accidental transclusions will be automatically substituted by a bot.
Shortcut
Logo of Twinkle; Police ManAny breaking changes to this template, including moving it or nominating it for deletion, must be communicated in advance to Twinkle's users and maintainers at Misplaced Pages talk:Twinkle. The standard installation of Twinkle relies on this template. Thank you.

This template is used to notify a user that they have been blocked. It informs them of the reason for their block and describes the steps they can take if they wish to continue editing. It has been carefully designed based on guidelines by the user warnings project.

Please refer to the index of message templates before using any template on user talk pages to warn a user. Applying the best template available for your purpose may help reduce confusion from the message you are sending.

Note: Only administrators can block users; adding a block template does not constitute a block. See RFAA to request that a user be blocked.

Usage

Please remember to substitute the template by using {{subst:Uw-ublock}} rather than {{Uw-ublock}}. (Although this template must be substituted in the user talk page, it has also been designed to display properly when substitution is not possible.)

To give greater detail to your message, you may specify: the block duration, a specific reason for the block, and to auto-include your signature.

{{subst:Uw-ublock|anon=yes|reason=For a different reason|notalk=yes|page=Targeted page|sig=yes}}

Notes

  • If not blocking an anonymous user, omit the anon parameter.
  • Include the page parameter to refer to a page on which the conduct supporting the block occurred.
  • The notalk parameter should always be omitted unless the user cannot edit their own talk page.
  • The optional for parameter can be used if the word "for" before the block reason doesn't grammatically work. For example, if for=per is written, the block notice will say "blocked from editing per". Don't use this parameter if you don't want to change the word "for".
