AVIANA is a Swedish metalcore band based out of Gothenburg.
Band History
AVIANA first formed in 2016 in Gothenburg, Sweden by five members; vocalist Marcus Vik, guitarist Marcus Heffler and Oscar Forsman, bassist Sebastian Colque, and drummer Niclas Bergström. The band released their first album, "Polarize", in 2017, and on that same year, singer Vik left the band and AVIANA welcomed in new singer and former Walking with Strangers frontman Joel Holmqvist. In 2019, the band signed with German record label Arising Empire and they released their second album titled "Epicenter". Shortly after the release of Epicenter, Heffler, Forsman, Colque, and Bergström decided to leave the band, leaving Holmqvist the sole member. Joel Holmqvist decided to continue as a solo act under the band name. In 2022, three unnamed members joined AVIANA and wore masks to conceal their identity, the same year, they released their third album titled "Corporation".
