- Cambodia Angkor Air underwent a rebranding and officially changed its name to Air Cambodia.
- 7 January
- A Cessna 208 Caravan seaplane operated by Swan River Seaplanes crashed during takeoff from Rottnest Island, Western Australia. Three of the seven people onboard were killed and three were injured.
- 8 January
- A Cessna 402C operated by Pacífica de Aviación, flying from Juradó to Medellín, Colombia, crashed into a wooded mountainside, killing all 10 people on board. This currently remains the deadliest plane crash of 2025.
- 9 January
- A Cessna CitationJet carrying five people crashed after landing at Ubatuba, Brazil, killing the pilot and injuring three others on the beach that the plane crashed into.

- The Aero India Airshow is scheduled to be held in Bengaluru, India.

- The Australian International Airshow is scheduled to be held at Avalon Airport, Geelong, Australia.

Deadliest crash
The deadliest crash of 2025 so far is a Cessna 402C operated by Pacífica de Aviación that crashed on January 8 near Urrao, Antioquia Department, Colombia. All 10 occupants were killed.
