The remnants of the Hochstein Castle, a high medieval structure, are located to the west of Bissingen, overlooking the Hochstein district in Dillingen an der Donau, Swabia. The original seat of the Lords of Hochstein has largely vanished, leaving only traces of the landscape and some rock carvings. A baroque chapel situated in the castle courtyard was built in the 17th century.

Geographical location

The castle ruins, situated 40 meters above the Wildbachtal valley at an elevation of 480 meters above sea level, are open to the public.
