Geetanjali Khandelwal is a 2015-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories) cadre. She currently serves as the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Chandigarh, having joined the Union Territory Police on deputation in December 2024.

Early Life and Career

Before joining the Indian Police Service, Khandelwal served as a Captain in the Indian Army. During her tenure in the Army, she was posted in strategic locations such as Kargil and Drass.

Police Career

In October 2024, Geetanjali Khandelwal was honored with the Best Performing Officer in Anti-Smuggling Operations award by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI)

  • Apprehension of approximately 100 poachers.
  • Seizure of 10 large engine dinghies valued at ₹2.5 crores.
  • Interception of 2,000 kilograms of sea cucumbers worth ₹5 crores, intended for illegal trade.

Current Role

In December 2024, Khandelwal assumed the role of Superintendent of Police in Chandigarh.
