He was criticized heavily for his use of non-SAG actors with no benefits and an insultingly low-pay. He was responsible for mocking and tarnishing the genre reputation of Japanese tokusatsu. He and his company, Saban Entertainment, although now defunct, are still to this day being despised by many Japanese tokusatsu fans for having mocked several Japanese tokusatsu especially Super Sentai by the critical, distasteful and lousy Americanized adaptation of the “Toku and Sentai Snob” Power Rangers franchise which Saban had sold to the Walt Disney Company to furthur mock Toei’s Japanese Super Sentai genre.
