Speed Demon (Marvel Comics)

What I upgraded was a choppy and often factually inaccurate list. Please do not get into another one of your edit wars. You have come close to being censured and blocked from Misplaced Pages, and I'm not sure the WPC community would want to see another edit war from you. --Tenebrae 16:16, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Avengers-45.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Avengers-45.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:25, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Blocked

I've blocked you for one week for edit warring. You've been advised numerous timed to discuss edits you disagree with rather than simply reverting, and your recent edit history shows edit warring at Speed Demon (Marvel Comics)‎, Thor (Marvel Comics), and Thanos over text and image usage. Use the talk page to discuss such issues, not edit summaries, and do not use articles as a battleground. Misplaced Pages is not a battleground. Steve block Talk 10:51, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Lifted

It has been pointed out to me that you did discuss the issues regarding the image at Thor, and therefore I've reviewed the situation more fully. I apologise, I only looked to the bottom of the talk page and not the history of it. I also note discussion at Speed Demon (Marvel Comics)‎, therefore I will lift the block. That said, given past situations, I think you need to consider in the future that you make a bold edit, and then discuss if it is reverted or amended, rather than reinstating. That may allow for a more harmonious editing experience for yourself and others. Steve block Talk 11:59, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Squadron Supreme

Thanks for the note. On the "sock puppet" issue I am only going by what it says on . Of course, it might be coincidence that the most drastic and sweeping edit of the entry was done under your IP, but given flags raised over your general editing such things can be a cause for concern. Removing the bibliography was the biggest change of the edit I reverted but it was the one you didn't mention in your edit summary. This is another issue as your summaries have, in some cases, been misleading and I notice you are making large edits to Marvel Zombies with no summary (or one that doesn't explain your actions) and the edits don't seem to be based on your discussing this issue on the talk page so editors are going to struggle to work out why you are doing what you are doing (which can only lead to further misunderstandings). Nothing that isn't fixable - see WP:ES and WP:CONSENSUS for tips. (Emperor 02:36, 25 October 2007 (UTC))

No problem - I do think a lot of problems could be ironed out with more use of summaries and consensus and it is an angle I've been working on and it came up when giving another editor feedback recently - it can just be a bit tricky saying it without coming across as condescending, so I'm glad you took it in the spirit it was intended. As I say on the other editor's talk page the big help is switching on the preference that always reminds you to add an edit summary - it gets to be second nature after that. Editing style

I would merely like to remind you that several times in the past you have agreed to use edit summaries clearly identifying your edits, and to not do huge block edits to a whole article, as that has been found to be disruptively confusing. This is merely a reminder at this time, no response (by you or others) is necessary. - jc37 14:41, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Awesome Android

I'm looking through the edit history of the above article and I'm seeing the same two names reverting each other over the last couple of days. That's an edit war, and that's damaging to Misplaced Pages as our page on edit wars makes plain. Specifically:

Most users consider sustained episodes of unproductive but animated cut-and-thrust editing to be undesirable. If objectively-minded users observe such an ongoing exchange and cannot "talk down" the involved parties, or encourage them to enter the dispute resolution process, users may request protection of the disputed article to enforce a cool down period. In severe cases of abuse, warring parties who persist in punitive editing may be subject to arbitration.

Now I'm looking around and I can see two pages protected already, this would be a third. So I'm asking myself, are we in a severe case of abuse? There needs to be some thinking about how we all approach Misplaced Pages. Are we here to collaborate for the benefit of the encyclopedia, or enforce our own opinion? Steve block Talk 15:05, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Arbitration case opened

I have made a request for arbitration which lists you as an involved party. Please see Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration#Comic book characters, and make a statement if you desire. Steve block Talk 16:19, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
