RHEMA Bible Training Center (RBTC), also known as RHEMA Bible College, is an interdenominational two-to-three year Christian Bible institute located on 110 acres in the Broken Arrow suburb of Tulsa, Oklahoma (USA). The Bible based curriculum is taught from a Charismatic/Pentecostal heritage. There are six ministry concentrations specializing in Children's Ministry, Youth Ministry, Evangelism, Pastoral Care, Missions, and Supportive Ministry. RBTC has also established training centers in Austria, Brazil, Colombia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, the South Pacific, and Thailand.

RBTC has also added special third-year programs of advanced study in the School of Worship, School of Pastoral Ministry, and School of World Missions. All the schools specialize in providing students with an in-depth study of such topics as faith, healing, prayer, righteousness, evangelism, and theology, plus practical subjects including history, raising a family in ministry, communications, and financial planning. Current enrollment is listed as 1,105 students.

History

The American evangelist Kenneth E. Hagin founded RHEMA Bible Training Center in 1974. After Hagin's passing in 2003, his son Kenneth W. Hagin continued the ministry of the institution. RBTC claims to have trained more than 28,000 graduates who reside and minister in more than 100 countries.

Accreditation and affiliation

RHEMA Bible Training Center is not accredited, but claims to "work with several regionally accredited colleges and universities that are pleased to accept RHEMA credits into their programs," including Bethany University (Santa Cruz, CA), Beulah Heights Bible College (Atlanta, GA), North Central University (Minneapolis, MN), Oklahoma Wesleyan University (Bartlesville, OK), Oral Roberts University (Tulsa, OK), and Southwestern Assemblies of God University (Waxahachie, TX).

RBTC does not license and/or ordain its graduates; these credentials are issued by the RHEMA Ministerial Association International (RMAI). Applicants must meet certain criteria in order to be licensed and later ordained.

RBTC is approved to offer training and education to eligible veterans and their dependents. Eligible students can receive benefits through the G.I. Bill.

Athletics

RHEMA Bible Training Center established its intercollegiate men's basketball program in the fall of 1993, and its women's basketball program in 1998. Originally, RBTC's participation in the Association of Christian College Athletics (ACCA - called the National Bible College Athletic Association at that time, until 2004) seemed unlikely because it was a two-year, non-accredited training center and most AACA colleges are four-year, accredited schools. But when a number of AACA Christian college coaches were approached by Rev. Hagin Jr. in 1993, they supported allowing RBTC to compete, and that fall the school began its first year of intercollegiate athletics in men's basketball.

Eagles home games are played in the Ninowski Recreation Center (NRC), a multipurpose facility (redesigned in 1986 by James Thompson) located on the RHEMA campus that serves as an athletic center and social hub for student activities. The NRC is fully equipped with basketball, volleyball, and racquetball courts, an aerobic workout area, weight room, skating rink, indoor track, saunas, ping pong and pool tables, and a snack bar. The official mascot is "Dunkin' the Eagle."

Both the men's and women's basketball teams have won the AACA National Championship four times (1998-1999, 1999-2000, 2000-2001, 2004-2005); in addition, the men's team also won in 2002-2003.

RBTC also offers intramural sports programs for all students. Intramural sports offered include flag football, co-ed softball, men's basketball, women's basketball, co-ed volleyball, floor hockey, men's soccer, and co-ed bowling. Several intramural sporting tournaments are held throughout the year.

Alumni Association

RHEMA Bible Training Center operates the RHEMA Alumni Association which, in conjunction with the RMAI, provides graduates with information on ministerial opportunities, participation in missions trips, homecoming and class reunions, and obtaining licensing and ordination through the RMAI.

The Alumni Association also hosts Fellowship Meetings around the U.S. to "provide opportunities for alumni in particular areas to come together, visit with one another, and hear Revs. Ken and Lynette Hagin share their heart and vision for Kenneth Hagin Ministries and RHEMA Bible Training Center."
