Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Misplaced Pages pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. As a reminder, talk pages related with IP addresses have certain restrictions in place. One of them is that warnings should not be removed from the page. Administrators may archive the warnings periodically, but the sequence of recent warnings should be left in place on the page.

By contrast, one of the privileges of registered users is more freedom in removing warnings from their talk page. (Removal is considered de facto acknowledgment of the warning.) —C.Fred (talk) 01:40, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Note: IP addresses do not have the same rights to control their own userspace as do registerred users. Since only registerred users can be shown to be a single user, only they may blank and otherwise control their own talk pages. This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users.
