Wendy Cheng a.k.a. Xia Xue

Xia Xue (real name Wendy Cheng) is one of the most prominent bloggers in Singapore. A self proclaimed "internet bitch who is edited by Photoshop", her blog, which started three years ago, attracts hundreds of readers every day with her takes on current events and her life, with topics ranging from methods of measuring penises to dumb starfish and MRT irritants. She has been criticised, however, for her use of crude language in her entries.

She is also frequently featured in the Singaporean media. Recently, her blog was hacked into and deleted; the act attracted a lot of attention in the local internet community, with people weighing in on the rightness or wrongness of the hacking. Cheng also currently works as a writer for The New Paper, a Singapore tabloid newspaper.

Xia Xue's blog won both the 2004 and 2005 Weblog Best Asian Blog Awards.
