Introduced the music of his mother's village, Joujouka, to Beat Generation figures resident in Tangier in its period as an International zone. Brought Rolling Stone Brian Jones there in 1968 where Jones recorded "Brian Jones presents the Pipes of Pan at Joujouka" (Rolling Stones Records 1971. Arranged for Ornette Coleman's visit in 1972 which led to the Dancing in my Head Lp.
