British articles & British Isles usage
The British vs Irish disputes, are usually difficult to solve. GoodDay (talk) 22:18, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
I used to bring Irish Sea into the BI arguments, but I was informed there's little disputing over that term. GoodDay (talk) 22:37, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Ahh oui. GoodDay (talk) 22:52, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Aussie
Your request was quite reasonable given the circumstances. My comment was really to point out that one citation should really be enough. Two should be plenty now but I suspect that will still not satisfy some people. I hope I didn't come across as grumpy. It's been a bad week. My favourite pet died suddenly last night and we found out that my father's cancer has returned so I've been a bit off. --AussieLegend (talk) 19:20, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
I said two wouldn't be enough. :( --AussieLegend (talk) 14:30, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Goal-line vs. Bye-line
Technically speaking the goaline is the entire line. The Bye-line is an imformal name. Kingjeff (talk) 01:29, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
In FIFA's Laws of the Game, there is reference to a goal line. I'm a referee and have yet to see any reference to it being technically called a bye-line. However, I have heard it be called a bye-line on an imformal basis. Kingjeff (talk) 01:36, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
I've never heard of it being called a bye-kick. Kingjeff (talk) 01:39, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Are you from the British islands? It might be British football terminology. Kingjeff (talk) 01:53, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Check the section that says in and out of play. It might help with technical terminology. Kingjeff (talk) 01:59, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Worldwide Soccer Manager 2008 does have reference to bye-line. But I've gone over technical terminology. Kingjeff (talk) 02:01, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- No problem. I've heard the term by-line but I've never heard of a bye-kick. Glad we got that cleared up. Have a good one. Hoops for the 3-peat this year, and maybe a decent Champions League run as well. 4 trophies or bust! -- Grant.Alpaugh 05:31, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Hello
Hiya, I'm still hanging on to hope for a solution to the British Isles usage debates. GoodDay (talk) 13:46, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Beer
Had trouble reading the label. I hope it's a stout or at least a porter. Lager is for wimps. ;) Durova 03:10, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Positions
Hi there, Jack. I'm not sure that the info would be entirely appropriate for the association football article, but it's definitely touched upon in the association football positions article, in which there is a section on tactical evolution. If you feel there is anything in there that needs modifying, please do so. – PeeJay 09:38, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Wikibreak
I won't be around for a while, got to finish organising and packing for weekend, when I'm off to Australia for a 2 month break. So, g'day, and see ya later cobbers! Jack forbes (talk) 18:58, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Aussie bound
Thanks Jack & have a great time. "I can ride a kangaroo (yeah, yeah), make kigga juice, too (yeah, yeah)". GoodDay (talk) 20:22, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- It's a song called 'My boomerang won't come back', by Charlie Drake. -- GoodDay (talk) 20:30, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Howabout 'Mule skinner blues' (the Fendermen's version)? GoodDay (talk) 20:38, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- Nope, but I've heard Donegan's tunes Does your chewing gum... & his version of Rock island line. GoodDay (talk) 20:45, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
S-a-t-u-r-d-a-y.... They can't be that bad, are they? GoodDay (talk) 21:09, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- They were so-so (IMHO). By the way, I'm a big-time Beatles fan. GoodDay (talk) 21:17, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm cool with Mac, too. GoodDay (talk) 21:26, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- Many saw the Cavern performance, but most didn't see it live. For example: I seen it on my Anthology VCR tapes & other archived footages. GoodDay (talk) 21:33, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Yep, those were different times. Jumpin's their rivals/friends The Rolling Stones, had to modify a line in one of their songs, for the Ed Sullivan Show. Instead of Let's spend the night together? they used Let's spend sometime together. GoodDay (talk) 21:48, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- Okie Dokie, have fun & don't forget to tie me kangaroo down.... GoodDay (talk) 21:57, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
You should know...
... about this. During the period of tensions between you and Fone4My, I was distracted by some abuse from Yorkshirian (talk · contribs), and it now appears that we were fighting on two fronts.
I think you (and I) were actually dealing with one of the most extreme offenders on WP. Therefore, after your WikiBreak I'd like to rediscuss the conditions of your usership, as I think this changes things significantly. --Jza84 | Talk 19:14, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
