DepartedUser4 is taking a short wikibreak and will be back on Misplaced Pages soon. |
I have violated my own terms of engagement by watchlisting Jimbo's talk page. Since that just wasn't a good idea I'll take a small break from Misplaced Pages. I'll be back in time to cast my votes early, in other words in about a weeks time from today (November 20.) EconomicsGuy (talk) 11:46, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

ZOMG!
Thankyou for notifying me. Just FYI, it's usually considered good form to notify a closing admin of your objections before taking these things to DRV, I would have been quite happy to relist or have a neutral third party review the decision. In fact, the DRV instructions clearly state that "Deletion Review is to be used where someone is unable to resolve the issue in discussion with the administrator (or other editor) in question. This should be attempted first – courteously invite the admin to take a second look". I'm not particularly upset about this, but I would recommend trying a friendly discussion first next time, it generally results in a whole lot less bother and mess for everyone, including you.
