It is located in the South Zone of Rio, between Leblon and São Conrado neighborhoods (22°59′37″S 43°14′33″W / 22.993663°S 43.242486°W / -22.993663; -43.242486 (Vidigal)). The favela is placed on the base of "Morro Dois Irmãos" (Template:Lang-en), the slum is a place of hardship for the people that live there, they have to face the problems of drug wars and when fighting occurs in the slum they sometimes have to stay there for days without leaving. having a beautiful view of Ipanema Beach and Ilhas Cagarras. Morro Dois Irmãos has served as inspiration for a song by Chico Buarque . Lifestyle in the favela is depicted in the the films, "City of God" and the "City of men" which are films about life in Vidigal.
