Mother I'd like to fuck (MILF) is an American colloquial term generally regarded as vulgar. Whilst there are slight variants of the term Mother (Mom) I'd Like (Love) to Fuck they all conform to the acronym 'MILF'.

Usage

The term designates a sexually attractive older female from 35-50 years of age and was popularized by the Hollywood film American Pie (1999), though the origin of the term predates this (the term was already used for years on the Internet).

Many sites are devoted to the phenomenon on the Internet. The acronym MILF is also used in the Weeds series by the character of Snoop Dogg, as a nickname for a the variety of marijuana created by Conrad (Episode 8, Season 2: MILF money)

Sarah Palin's widespread MILF status inspired the pornographic movie Who's Nailin' Paylin? Adventures of a Hockey MILF and also the new acronym VPILF.

VPILF

VPILF (vice president I'd love to fuck), pronounced 'veep-ilf', is a vulgar term derived from the more commonly used term 'MILF'. The term VPILF came into sharp prominence during the 2008 vice presidential campaign run by Sarah Palin.

In popular culture, Palin has been lampooned as a VPILF by various comedians and has a "VPILF action figure" modeled after her. The term VPILF has also inspired widespread T-shirt designs. It has also inspired a song called Palin's VPILF Blues. Palin's VPILF status has inspired the VPILF.com website dedicated to this phenomenon.

GILF

GILF can stand either for Governor I'd Like (Love) to Fuck or Grandmother (Grandma/Granny/Grandmom) I'd Like (Love) to Fuck. In December 2008, after the birth of Sarah Palin's grandson Tripp, she was the first to be regarded as a GILF in both senses of the word. Grandmother GILFs can be categorized into two types: (i) young attractive grandmothers in their 30s, or (ii) older women over 50 yrs who are highly attractive (eg. Olivia Newton John, Candice Bergen, Suzanne Somers, Raquel Welch etc.) and these not necessarily need be grandmothers in reality.
